North Carolina stops defending marriage ban

Raleigh, N.C.-Attorney General Roy Cooper on July 28 pointed to a ruling earlier that day from the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals striking Virginia's marriage ban as impetus to stop defending his own state's ban.
